Ten Lords A-Leaping
On the tenth day of Christmas, my true love gave to me...
LORD OF THE STREETS (LOTS) is being supported. Thank you!
WHY ARE THERE HOLES IN THE STAR? This ornament was in part inspired by the paról craft from the Philippines, in which light shines through a five-pointed Bethlehem Star. Hold your ornament up to a light source or arrange a light or two behind it on a Christmas tree to see the twinkling points of light (John 1:5). There are five star shapes in this design for the wounds of Christ: the overall shape of the ornament, two referenced by the points of light, the pose of each figure, and the pose that the paired figures create together.
WHY ARE SOME FINISHES UNAVAILABLE AT THIS TIME? Due to COVID-19 and travels, some studio materials may be absent. If your preferred finish appears unavailable, check back during the production season or send an inquiry to: email@example.com.
Each bas-relief ornament is cast from the original sculpture and is comprised of natural, non-toxic, and eco-friendly materials. The ornaments receive unique handmade finishes (please allow for slight variations as a result). The standard finishes of ANTIQUE and VERDIGRIS are joined by EVERGREEN, the limited edition finish. Accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity. Please allow approximately one week for processing (contact us with special timing/shipping needs).
Dimensions: Approximately 3.25 x 3.25” and .75” deep at the center
Please note that bas-relief is an optical illusion of sorts and that the piece will change appearance in relation to the amount/direction of light. Direct overhead lighting, natural or artificial, is the best in which to display your ornament.
Current ornament materials include: natural plaster and shellac, biodegradable hemp, jute, freshwater pearls, shell, ethically sourced mica, silver, gold, milk paint, 100% natural bamboo, stainless steel, glass, and coccoina adhesive.
