Begun as a bozzetto, this little ink vignette on paper (approximately 2 x 2" and shipped in a protective mat with a 3.5 x 3.5" window) supports The Victual Artist, a sub-collective of the Eco Arts Collective that is dedicated to feeding bodies and souls. Please allow for variations in each hand-painted piece in antiquated OCHRE or VELLUM.

ABOUT THE BOZZETTI

You may be familiar with maquette, the French term for a small model of a larger, intended sculptural endeavour. The Italian term bozzetto, which translates to sketch, also describes studies for finalized works. These bozzetti began as a contemplative practice during an artist residency. The idea was to create something within an hour, usually without source material, and this practice has continued to be a part of the artist’s studio life.
